Carla Hulce, Principal and Officer, specializes in designing learning environments for students with exceptionalities, school turnaround and performance management. Carla is a seasoned researcher and practitioner. She holds a BA in Liberal Education from Columbia College and a MEd in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
Michael Hulce, Principal and Officer, brings over 25 years business experience to HCG specializing in employment and administrative law. Michael’s career includes work in mining, aerospace, consumer package goods and the service industries. Michael has an MBA from Golden Gate University and a JD from Concord Law School.
Tonja Jarrell, Partner, specializes in secondary teaching and learning. Tonja is a former secondary teacher, administrator, and Director of Professional Learning. Tonja holds a BA in History/Art History from UCLA, and a MA in Policy, Organization, Measurement, and Evaluation from the University of California-Berkeley.
Cathy Bean, Associate, brings expertise in small and rural school districts. With over 20 years as an esteemed Principal, Superintendent and County Deputy Superintendent. Cathy holds a BA in Social Science from California State University-San Jose and a MA in Educational Administration from St. Mary’s College.
Will Jarrell, Associate, brings a wealth of experience to HCG as a former Principal and Assistant Superintendent. Will is a leader when it comes to turning around low performing schools, district and school level strategic planning and implementation. Will holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Missouri and a MBA from Embry- Riddle University.
Millercin Weeks, Associate, brings over 35 years in the social services field. She has directed programs in both the public and private sectors, primarily focusing on direct provision and supervision of case management. She continues to advocate for children and families as a gubernatorial appointee to a county Foster Care Review Board. Millercin holds a MA in Applied Psychology from Washington University.
Amy Westberg, Associate, specializes in K-12 literacy and English Language Learners. Amy is a former elementary school teacher, instructional coach and technical assistance provider to school, districts and counties in California. Amy has a BS in Elementary Education from National University and a MS in Applied School Leadership from the University of Nevada-Reno.
